"I first attended PROBUS meetings as a guest. I was not at that time, interested in joining but was impressed with the guest speakers. The presentation by the family that climbed Mount Everest clinched it for me and I joined the club. Since then I have met so many wonderful people and made many friends. The activities, the trips and the fellowship among members is outstanding. With such an active membership the experiences accumulate into so many great memories. If laughter and good times are a sign, then this organization has made it a highly successful social club. Glad to have joined, I am a proud member of the PROBUS Club of Pickering."

"My girlfriend and I wanted to go on the Agawa Canyon trip, so I googled "Agawa bus trip Pickering", and I got put on a bus trip with Shirley V. We loved it!! Everyone was laughing, Shirlie was funny and amazing. I asked if everyone was related on this bus?? They laughed and said, "We're PROBUS!". You're professional bus people?? Needless to say, we joined as soon as we got home."

"I joined PROBUS Pickering as a research project to evaluate community opportunities for Seniors. Their guest speakers were always something to look forward to, and the activities and clubs were impressive. When you experience the warm welcoming from other members, and enjoy the social opportunities to meet new people, it wasn't long before I knew I had to renew. The variety of clubs and activities will keep you socially engaged and with wonderful people."

When I retired I had heard about PROBUS and only knew about the monthly meetings and speakers. I discovered that the Pickering PROBUS Club has so much more to offer including book clubs, walking groups, billiards, crafts, pinball, theatre, activities and trips. We recently went on the Kingston day trip and enjoyed the Kingston Penitentiary and seeing Jersey Boys. It was so well organized and everything was handled including the bus trip and tickets. We are also enjoying activities like euchre, trivia, bowling, parties, ladies luncheons and men's breakfasts. There is something for everyone. The members are friendly and fun and the monthly meeting allows for socialization as well as hearing interesting and informative speakers. You will never say you are bored again.
