Contact: Gail Perks 905-839-6767 gaileperks@rogers.com | ![]() Genealogy Genealogy is the history of a family over several generations, for example, describing who each person married and who their children were. In the narrow sense, a “genealogy” or a “family tree” traces the descendants of one person, whereas a “family history” traces the ancestors of one person but the terms are often used interchangeably. You will be preserving your past family history for future generations. PROBUS Club of Pickering and the Pickering Public Library would like to join together to establish a Genealogy Club. Jessica Lanziner and her Genealogy staff will teach us how to get started if you are a beginner; however, if you have already started with your genealogy and want further help, the team will be there to assist you. While at the library you will be able to log on to the library’s “Ancestery.ca” which contains a wealth of information. |
